Task 6 - Trading Card

Step 1: Pick a character from the list below to make a trading card:

If you're up for a challenge, pick a minor character to show your detective skills to find characteristics in the text about him/her.

Step 2: Create a graphic organizer and fill out about your character. Some characteristics to brainstorm are:
◦Appearance, looks
◦Age or grade
◦Hobbies
◦Family
◦Friends
◦Likes
◦Dislikes

Step 3: Draw a picture of your character using copy paper. Your character should take up the majority of space. Details! Details! Details! Be sure to include a background from your book. Scan picture. Save to your desktop to complete trading card. You will need your parent's help for this.

Step 4: Open up the attachment I sent your mom. On Sheet 1, upload your drawing of your character. On Sheet 2, type a bio about your character using the information from your graphic organizer. Save your document. Email ruderm@friscoisd.org when you are finished with this project for me to print at school. Post that you're completed when done.

Task 5 - Wordle

Brainstorm at least 10 adjectives to describe Frindle. Using www.wordle.net, create a wordle. Remember, the more times you type in the same word, the larger the font. You can use http://www.wordcentral.com/ to extend your vocabulary on describing words. Print and try to use a new vocabulary word in your daily conversations. Keep your printout until we meet in August.

Task 4 - Ch. 11-15

Answer the following questions about Ch. 11-15:
Nick left a legacy in his hometown. What will be yours? Type your response in the "post comment" box.

Task 3 - Ch. 6-10

Answer the following questions about Ch. 6-10:
If you could create a new word, what would it be? What does it mean? Why? Type your response in the "post comment" box.

Task 2 - Ch. 1-5

Answer the following questions about Ch. 1-5:
1. Have you ever feared a teacher? How did you handle it?
2. What's your prediction on Nick and Mrs. Granger's relationship?
3. Name 3 strategies you use to locate words in a dictionary.
